Solomon Palmateer in the Toronto Star!

The wonderful breastfeeding project that Martha and I have been working on together has been featured in the Toronto Star!  Exciting!  We had a wonderful skype interview with Ann Douglas (Star columnist and author of the Mother of All Pregnancy Books).  She was absolutely lovely and I am so glad we were able to chat with her.  We have had so much interest in the project and we are so excited to continue with it!

Have a look at the article and then hop on over to here and have a look at our project website!  And if you are a nursing mama, tell us your story (and maybe we can even get together for some pictures).

Welcome to SolomonPalmateer!

SolomonPalmateer is currently creating two contemporary books featuring nursing mothers and their children as part of our Mama’s Milk project.

The first book is geared towards new mothers and their families. It will showcase the experience of modern breastfeeding mothers through photographic portraits and personal stories. Our aim is to help nurture a positive and lasting breastfeeding experience for new mothers by sharing the wisdom of other breastfeeding moms.

Our second book is geared towards babies and young children. It will teach them about the natural, normal and wonderful breastfeeding experience with beautiful portraiture and accessible, engaging text.

We are looking to photograph and interview breastfeeding mothers who are nursing infants, toddlers, (or both), mothers from a variety of abilities, cultures, communities and language groups.

To see some of the portraits and read some nursing stories please see our Mama’s Milk page. Please share your breastfeeding experiences with us, and with other mothers!
